There are some critical eBucks Partners you need to know about if you want to earn anything significant with eBucks. It’s crucial to know whether it’s more beneficial to spend Rands at an eBucks Partner to earn eBucks or to rather use your existing eBucks directly at a specific place. This will help you get the most out of eBucks. Below I explain exactly how to do this.

The Best eBucks Partners for Earning eBucks

Once you get to eBucks level 5 which is very easy to achieve, you can earn eBucks at very high percentages at the following eBucks Partners:

  • Retailers:
    • Spar (15%)
    • Checkers (15%)
    • Clicks (15%)
    • iStore (15%)
    • HP Store (15%)
  • Fuel:
    • Engen (R4/litre)
  • Streaming Services
    • Spotify (40%)
    • Netflix (40%)
  • Other
    • ARC (15 or 30%)
    • Workshop17 (40%) – a coworking space provider offering flexible workspaces, meeting rooms, and event spaces.

Spending eBucks at these places is possible, but it makes little sense as you don’t earn eBucks on those transactions.

You’ll naturally earn a small amount of eBucks at most of the other eBucks Partners, but the effective percentage that you earn back is so small that it’s not really worth mentioning. Keep in mind though that it’s always good to use your FNB Virtual Credit Card in order to make sure you earn eBucks at the best possible rate.

Ebucks Shop and eBucks Travel (up to 40% discount)

When you spend your eBucks at the eBucks Shop or eBucks Travel, it’s possible to enjoy discount of up to 40%. I’ve had little luck with this at the eBucks Shop as I often find the deals at the shop to be a bit obscure. But eBucks Travel is a great benefit as you can get up to 40% discount on flights, domestic car hire and bus rides.

Just be aware that the potential 40% discount on flights that you enjoy when spending your eBucks only applies to the base fare of the flight, not to taxes and additional fees, so your effective percentage discount is quite a bit lower when you purchase a flight ticket. Not many people are aware of this, but if you’ve ever booked a flight, you’ll know what I mean. It’s still a great benefit though. Just note that you need to make your booking through the eBucks Travel platform and not through the eBucks Travel Partner directly.

Below are some of the eBucks Travel Partners offering discounts currently listed on their website:

  • Flights:
    • FlySafair (Domestic and International)
    • Airlink (Domestic and International)
    • Lift (Domestic)
    • Emirates (International)
    • AirFrance (International)
    • KLM (International)
  • Domestic Car Hire:
    • Avis

You can also spend your eBucks on eBucks Travel deals which include the flights, accommodation and entertainment for a full vacation, but I’ve personally never tried any of these.

Other eBucks Partners for Spending eBucks

Most of the eBucks partners where you can earn eBucks are also places where you can spend eBucks. Please just remember not to spend your eBucks at the places where you can earn good eBucks listed under “Best eBucks Partners for Earning eBucks”.

That leaves us with the following other places where you can also spend your eBucks:

  • Most commonly used by me:
    • Takealot
    • Airtime or data (using the FNB App)
    • FNB Bank charges (using the FNB App)
  • Other popular options:
    • Mr D
    • Superbalist
    • Le Creuset
    • NetFlorist
    • Yuppiechef
    • OneDayOnly
    • Intercape (although you may prefer to rather earn R150)
  • Other options:
    • Autostyle Motorsport
    • KOODOO
    • NetJewel
    • Taxtim
    • Entrytime

Conclusion

Getting the best value out of eBucks requires strategy. Focus on high-earning partners to accumulate eBucks and use the eBucks Shop and eBucks Travel for significant discounts when spending eBucks. If you still have eBucks to spend, don’t choose one of the high-earning partners as it’s a waste of an opportunity to earn good eBucks.

Please note that eBucks Partners change frequently, so please check the eBucks website to double check the latest details
