If you’re not already using ChatGPT, you’re falling behind. It can help you with almost anything.

You simply can’t live in the 21st century and not use be using this tool. There’s a free version which is more than sufficient, but the paid version is worth it if you want the best tech tool of the last century.

Planning

I strongly recommend using a tool to help you organise your tasks. I use Todoist, but another good option is Notion.

Budgeting

If you live in South Africa the best tool for this is 22seven. I haven’t come across anything that comes close to this. It integrates perfectly with all your bank accounts and investment accounts, so it’s fully automated. I didn’t manage to budget using my manual excel method before I found this tool.

If you don’t want to use a broker, Allan Gray has a really nice “DIY” platform you can use to setup your retirement annuity and unit trusts.
